Solved! tell if the battery icon means it's charged or not?

What does the white battery icon mean? I can't tell if it's charged or not.
When it's charging with the power cord & plugged in, the light is still red...even tho it's supposedly charged overnight.

It could just be the light that is the problem or the battery could need replacing.
