I have a hybrid and have similar gripes. If you ask me, manufacturers are not accounting for accessory use in the vehical when determining mileage, which kind of defeats the point of buying a high mileage EV when you cannot listen to the radio or use the AC to get that mileage. Who are they fooling? They need to measure it like people are going to use the car. What's the point of seat warmers if you are not going to reach your destination?
I also wonder if manufacturers are optimizing thier electronics systems for EV's and Hybrids. If not, there is no point in buying an EV or Hybrid full of accessories if you want the mileage.
