Drive around all day for $5?? Yeah right. If I had one, I'd charge it at my neighbor's place and drive around for free.

The grammar and spelling errors in just the first paragraph alone are stunning, just stunning.

5 dollars a day until you recall you paid 100k for the car itself.

Since average gas usage is about $2000 a year, a $15k car, after 10 years, costs you $35k total, not counting maintenance.

A Tesla is still going to be at least $101k after 10 years. If you want to drive around for 5$ a day, get a motorcycle or Geo Metro. If you want to do 0-60 in under 4 seconds on the cheap, get a Roadster.

"...is most famous for it’s gearbox. The one-speed gearbox offers all 280 lb-ft of torque from 0rpm..."

Last time I checked the Roadster had a two speed gearbox. Yes it was launched with a one speed but that was due to some issue that Tesla resloved and replaced all the one speed trannys with two speeds. Also the gearbox does not provided 280 lb-fts of torque from 0 rmp, the electric motor does. Oh yeah most people hear of the Roadster not because of its gearbox, but because it is the most energy effiecent production car that can go from 0-60 in under 4 seconds.

If you're going to write about technology, please get your facts right. Its funny because some of what I've learned about the Roadster came from this site.
