Hello Everyone. I am Alan Adler, inventor of the AeroPress. Thank you to Tom's Guide for this article. It teaches to let the mix steep for 30 seconds. My tests show that it tastes smoother if you skip this. The concept behind the AeroPress was to shorten the wet time in order to reduce bitterness. So quicker is smoother.

But please try the AeroPress with and without the 30 second steep time and choose what you prefer.
