the battery charger is not working but laptop still works

i have not been using my laptop and charger for 2 months and when i started plugging into my laptop and turn it on... it doesnt work.... did my charger spoil or something??

try it without the battery in the laptop

I tried but I think the charger is dead.... Did something went wrong just because I didn't use it for months?
