The HDMI from my computer to my TV suddenly stopped working, can I fix it?

My HDMI just stopped working. I have an HP dv7-3065dx laptop and a Vizio flat screen TV. We watch movies from my laptop on my television. There has never been a problem, it's always worked. I did not have to do anything with my laptop when I first started watching movies thru the HDMI. It has always been automatic. Now all of a sudden, there's 'no signal'. I bought a brand new HDMI cable thinking maybe it was damaged. I tried it on our second TV also, but still 'no signal'. I have no idea why it won't work. Is there something I can do? How do I find out if it is the laptop HDMI port? Can you help me? Thank you!

Well do you have a friend with a laptop? Try plug that one in, if it works that means the HDMI port on your laptop is a goner. If not it might be your TV. Let me know what happens.
