the keyboard on my jellybean android has stopped working bar a couple of keys on the top row. Can it be fixed?

The keyboard has stopped working bar about 4 keys on the top row. The key to the left of the mouse pad plus mouse pad work. Have tried disable/re-enable keyboard, wiped data on AOSP keyboard app and tried force stop on same but no joy. Any suggestions please.

I too am having the same problem. trying to work it out with HP support. So far no good. I do not understand. I have tried everything I have read. Nothing seems to work.
