The laptop unicorn... 8k vr question.

Hey, I’ve read the questionnaire, and mentally filled it out.. but.. I’m looking for the following

Run HTC Vive on an 8k hmd, either with a graphics amplifier or without.
I can’t use my desktop as I need something portable and ideally wearable, however the breakout box must be powered.
Also something I can take to work with me to do some light gaming. I drive a truck, but am home daily. I only have access to 12v power on a 10a fuse.

I guess I really want to know... should I get a laptop with a 1080 or a 1070 or 1060? I have been looking for a while, is there a laptop with decent battery life and a 1070?

Any personal experience would really help out. Thank you.

I would not go under a 1070 for a VR setup. www.xoticpc.com has a good listing of gaming laptops along with their estimated battery life.
