Neat concept, but seems rather useless. I pretty much always know what's on my flash drives at any given time. With larger capacities now available I guess it could come in handy, but a display of actual file names would be more useful. I suppose the power source would have to be a small battery powered by USB, or solar powered

Very good concept. I'll definitally be saving up to buy a ginormously largly spaced one.

The technology behind this is so simple I can't believe Tom's people think this is hard to make.

The LED will only come on when pressed. It will be powered by a small rechargeable battery that got recharged every time it is connected. The computer will also tell the flash how full it is every time something is transferred or taken out of it.

LOL...that would be awesome...more like:

"You are about to add an additional 1.5GB of porn, you need an additional 600 MB of space. Delete Friday's final presentations? [Y/N]"
