Wow,with all this info out there, it makes you leery to buy any laptop. I am ready to buy for my wife for her small business. I had been considering the VAIO or a Toshiba based on some poor reviews of the Dell models. I have a Dell Latitude about 6 years old and I love it with minimal problems. Any suggestions on an urgent purchase.

For business, buy a business class laptop along with the level of tech support you desire. Dell and HP both make excellent business class laptops.

Every brand will have bad press. I recommend Dell. I have literally 1000s of Dell laptops in my organization and we are VERY happy with them.
