I think the real reason to wait for a phone should be less about whether or not a phone has a bezel, a home button, or any other feature which could be deemed old [but actually still preferred for many valid reasons]. Instead an important consideration should be how long a phone will continue to function and receive updates. Ideally, Apple would commit to at least two future OS releases for phones it is currently selling, but who knows if they will or not. A phone which uses a newer generation of hardware seems like a better bet for longevity of support. And, even if the phone supports updated iOS versions, application developers are beginning to assume users have a larger screen and are testing applications less and less on the smaller screens.
