I need a new laptop with better battery life than my current Zephyrus M16 2022.
I'm a .NET developer and currently need Windows for our WPF app. Everything is on .NET 6, which is cross platform. I also do need QSV encoder, but this is a hardware requirement I'm wiling to make my company give me such machine and not take it as a requirement for my personal machine.
I have a PC which I can eventually remote just for the WPF project. So I'm not so tied to Windows/x86. I never had Mac and I'm not sure if I'm going to like it or not.
I do have a option to get used T14s with Snapdragon X Elite, 32gb RAM and 1TB of SSD for 750€. Doing a small web search it seems this laptop was around 2600€ brand new a year ago, so it looks like a steal. But I'm not sure if I should switch to Windows on ARM and not stick with x86 for windows.
What would you suggest ? The laptop will be used occasionally if my kids are sick and I have to work and look after them at home.
