Third party replacement for iPod Nano click wheel?

So my 3rd gen iPod Nano (5 years old now) got included in the washer last month. Two days ago, I charged it and it turned on. Awesome! Not quite. The problem is the click wheel is not working. Now I'm stuck in the setup screen. Is there a way I can substitute/replace the click wheel?

Apple's Earpods? Can Apple's Earpods do all the functionality of the click wheel?

Radio/Dock? I know of docks that can play, stop, forward, and rewind songs from an iPod. Can I also use it to replicate the functionality of the center button?

I would say there is a lot more wrong with it than just the click wheel. Time for a new ipod.

Technically, it's still working. I can charge it, sync stuff, play music through my computer, etc. But it's just the click wheel that's not working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
