Hi everybody.

Let me preface this by saying I have zero clue where to post this anyway...
*ahem*
As you can see by my username, I'm in the running for a new laptop. I've successfully narrowed it down between two, but after looking over the specs and googling for some reviews, It's almost made the decision more difficult..

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16834154494

These are the two laptops I've been eyeing. Yes, it's because they're both on sale. Anyway, my main concerns are that the MSI one, despite having a newer 1050 and 7th gen CPU, comes with only 2gb of VRAM... However, it IS MSI who are probably a more trustworthy brand than Dell, and it comes equipped with a lot more SSD space. Storage is not a very big thing for me, as I've never owned an SSD in my Desktop. I will primarily be using the laptop for mid-high intensive gaming and writing college assignments.

If anyone owns one of these, can I get some thoughts? Or even if someone happens to know what to look for/avoid in laptops, I'd appreciate any advice..

If you're willing to pay $950 for the MSI, you might want to look at this $860 Dell (from Amazon US):

Specs are almost identical to the newegg MSI, except this Dell comes with the 4GB 1050 card.

Thanks for the reply.
The MSI one actually had a $150 rebate so it would have been the same price as the first Dell! However, I think you've found me the best of both worlds!!!!! Thank you very, very much!
