Thoughts on the Gateway M-6843

I am looking at purchasing a new laptop.

I have been looking at the Gateway M-6843. Best buy is selling it for $550. Gateway lists it at $699.

I am looking to spend right around $600.

Not looking for anything fancy. I have my desktop for gaming and plenty of storage.

Laptop would be mainly for surfing and watching DVD/Steaming video.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I am not too familiar with the 384 dynamic memory.

Any better deals in this price range that anyone knows of?

I know this thread gets bombarded with these ?s, but I didn't see anything on the this model.

One of my friends has this machine, she's very happy with it, and I liked it for what we used it for. Good buy.
