tired of TWC...ANTENNA ONLY FOR PLASMA TV

We have twc and we are sick of them.we want to use an antenna only or purchase the clear tv for satellite.Can we do this? Tell us how and what we need to get our tv ready and dump time warner cable(bill went from $67.55 to $99.00 for the variety pkg.

I purchased a TV antenna at Radio Shack, put it up in the attic, pointed it in the right direction (trial and error), tied it into my cable wiring and I receive clear digital signals on all of my TVs throughout the house. In my area (Houston, TX) there are 50+ digital channels broadcasting. I had to set each tv to "antenna" as the input source.

That's a brand name, not a model.

But it having ATSC is what I really needed to know. That means your TV can pick up over-the-air TV without an extra set top box.

And I should add, I got a Silicon Dust HDTV box, tied it in to the cable wiring, connected an ethernet cable between the box and my router, so I can watch and record TV on my computers using Windows Media Center (at least until I am forced to "Upgrade" to Windows 10 which does not support WMC).
