BTW whoever runs this forum needs to go. The interface is poop, the functionality is poop, the errors are many. Are you watching? Go run a pr0n site or something, this is not your forte'

Yea, I barely contribute anything at all, 350 posts, I answer any question I can. When I was young I remember a friend of mine told me something I remember to this day. "It's easier to be an inch cool to someone instead of a foot of a jerk to them." That's how I try to live my life.

Would you also be mad if Alienware had a person answering your questions about "Which laptop should I choose" on Anandtech?

Why, in your words do you think that?

It's not that bad. I think "KillerNotebooks" should be banned, like he was at AnandTech.

i just registered to respond to this.

KillerNotebooks is the reason I READ this forum. He is about the only contributor that actually has a command of the facts and is willing to educate the rest of us.

Sure, he is selling his company, but go back and read his "sales" pitches. They are all comparative and very informative to the question that the initiator of the thread asked.

KN's messages are on target and he doesn't denigrate his competition, he makes real comparisons to his and others products. And he is keen to have his laptops reviewed here.

I don't know what your issue with KN is, but please, go complain about all the retards who post idiot level stuff ad nauseum on this forum before you try to run off one of the few people here who seriously contributes, even if his contribution contains references to his business.

We all win when KN talks about his experience with laptops, his command of the technology and his insight on what is going to available real soon.

You don't like that he also sells what he talks about, then ignore his messages. Some of us actually look forward to his posts so that we can keep current on the market and learn things like his laptops are exactly the same as Alienware and Falcon-NW (who btw I have bought my last 4 desktops from).

The bigger question is why doesn't TH review a KN laptop? Do they only review laptops from their ad buying sponsors and ignore the "little guys" who don't inflate their product prices by spending tons of money on marketing.

Thank you KN for educating me, as I am in the process of planning for a high end laptop. I was seriously looking at Alienware and would have probably had one (and spent several thousand dollars too much) now if KN hadn't been on this forum and opened my eyes about what the next few product cycles would be bringing to market.

I have no affiliation with KN, but I might a KN customer real soon...

I found this on the internet incase you want ot have this for your email signature skorpios (anyone who doesn't know it is Scorpius from FarScape). I think the, "My Power." is pretty fitting after dealing out that post.

Thanks for the vote!

no problem. I have been meaning to register and get active here at TH's for awhile. Then I see the message from jvarszegi who also has all of 2 posts complaining about what i think is the most valuable resource on the TH mobility forumz.

Besides that, whatever prompted that intelligent well thought out post

BTW whoever runs this forum needs to go. The interface is poop, the functionality is poop, the errors are many. Are you watching? Go run a pr0n site or something, this is not your forte'

will fade into the ether soon enough.

Can't let the inmates start running the asylum!

skorpios has been my nick for long time now. Farscape was a great show and Scorpius is one my favorite sci fi villains. Too bad FS got canceled in favor of all the crap the SciFi channel is shoveling at us these days.

thanks for the banner

Hm, I find it funny that you're dissing the interface on this forum. If you don't like it, then by all means, LEAVE. No one is asking you to stay, and seeing that you're still a fresh member, I doubt we'd say anything if you leave the forum as it is.
And no, I certainly don't think KN should be banned. Everything he's said so far "checked out", sounded legit, and had well-meant points in them. He's obviously very resourceful and knowledgeful, and if HardwareBoss, the moderator of this forum, agrees with him and is even considering to buy a notebook from him, then there's gotta be something behind his words.
And yes, KN, you're also one of the reasons that I read this forum. Kudos to you lol. Thanks for sharing your insights and expertise. 8)

So the man tries to interest you in his product at the same time as he gives you his opinion? So what?

Heck, as an armourer and metal worker, I can't count the number of times I have critiqued another guy's product. Part of being one of the little guys and knowlegable about your field. Best of all he admits when somebody else has a good product. Heck, he has even given folks the coupon codes to other companies so they can get a better deal!

I came to the forum to find advice, and KN impressed me with his knowledge and his interest in making his clients happy. And as one of the more paranoid purchasers I know (4 months studying laptop specs), it says a lot when I decided to purchase from him.

I would also like to make a point. I have seen a lot of people end up buying systems from him on this forum. I have YET to see somebody appear back on the forum and rip him a new one for a poor product they recieved.

I still hope to give a small review after I get the system, just so there is some testimonial about his work. I imagine it is gonna be a pretty positive one.

Had KillerNotebooks come onto the forums mis-representing himself as just another Joe then sure ban him. However my understanding is that he has been forthright about who he is and what he does. There is NO error in that.

I think he should also, remind members of who he is (often) so there is not a question of where he is coming from. I feel he has an obligation to identify himself!

AVSforums (one of the largest forums on the web) has many vendors that provide help/information. They all declare themselves (mostly) and everyone is alright with it. If a person comes to the forum and (back doors) the process and mis-represents themselves for profit then that is another thing. The Mods and members of AVS watch fairly diligently and discourage or ban as appropriate.

Welcome to the forums KillerNotebooks!

B4,

This is a standard forums interface that you will find all over the web. AVSforum (again one of the largest member forums on the web) uses this same interface. So there must be something to it!.
