even though she shares the playable protagonist role with two others, one of my favorite video game characters of all time is Laverne from Day of the Tentacle. One of the few really genuinely insane female characters who's character isn't based on her looks or status as "female" at all - she's pure comedy. Pure, dark, sociopathic comedy. Her default response line for using her scalpel on un-usable objects will never leave my mind: "I can't, my therapist and I have an agreement."
