Hello, I have just looked at my laptop and I realised that I have accidentally left it right under my desk lamp which caused the top of it (top left corner when closed) to start melting and at the side, I can see that a bit of it has risen up. It was very very hot when I moved it and I'm just wondering if anyone knows wether it will affect anything as it's a brand new laptop..thanks

So you haven't tried to run it yet? you may have ruined the LCD if i'm picturing it correctly in my mind, but boot it up and see. That's the only thing that i would think may be messed up...and you may be able to find a replacement panel and top for it...

Had to turn the pic to a link as I'm on my phone and it wouldn't let me upload it so here's he link

It's honestly just a normal desk lamp, I was shocked that it actually did that to my laptop. I did turn it on and it seems to be working okay so far, it's such a shame though I only bought it 3 weeks ago!
