HP were in the market for 49 days before they dumped the line, not long enough to break a market so the pricing was not the issue, rather a very bad and expensive business decision.
Price isn't stopping iPads and Galaxy Tabs.

What made be buy the Toshiba Thrive was the fact that it had user replaceable batteries and high connectivity.
