Hi All,

I have a Satellite notebook c55, b860 which is not booting unfortunately. I have disassembled it and removed all the components that are connected to the mb, incuding hdd, keyboard and touchpad and also changed ram, but still the laptop wont boot. As soon as i connect the power (with no hdd connected) I hear a small buzzing sound. Not even the small hdd is lighting up so it seems that the issue is with the mb. However i am not sure if it's the power supply. Anyone can give some advice on this ? or maybe experienced something similar ? Thanks

Hi,

There's a huge possibility that it's the motherboard that has the problem but I would suggest trying a different AC adapter that has the same voltage and see if that would solve the issue. Do also try removing the battery and connect it directly into it's AC adapter. If all these will not work yes the motherboard is faulty.
