Toshiba DVD recorder does not record some TV channels

My Toshiba DR430KC dvd recorder does not record some sport channels and the TCM (Turner Classic Movies) channel.
It records many other channels without any problem.
And I can replay the recorded programs.
So the connections between the DVD recorder and TV are OK.
However, my old Panasonic DVD recorder records any TV channel.
The problem must be with the Toshiba DVD recorder.
Does anybody know how to solve this?

Check for a firmware update from Toshiba, check with Toshiba support. If your Panasonic DVD recorder works fine, use that, seems like a pretty simple fix there. One does not work, one works, use the one that works LOL
