Toshiba laptop no bios or post

Hi, I have a Toshiba Satellite l455-s5009. It recently stopped loading the screen, but it won't display to an external monitor either. I then got a new mobo cpu and ram and put it in, and it still does the same thing. The lights turn for power, hdd, battery charge and the fan spins for a second when I press power and the dvdrom drive flashes and clicks. But no screen. I've tried it with both the original power supply and a universal one that is rated to work with it to no avail. Can someone help me cause I'm at my starting to get really frustrated.

Are you getting any POST codes? Whether they're audio or visual (sometimes the caps lock light will blink in patterns on certain systems to indicate the POST error).

I figured out what was wrong, it was a bad inverter board near the screen. It was putting the laptop in a permanent stand by state

I don't see why the inverter would have anything to do with external output, as its job is to simply power the backlight on the built in screen.

Still, glad you got it working again.
