I did a lot of research on this laptop before I purchased it, and
everything I found was positive. But after just 2 weeks, I am
completely disgusted with this machine. All hardware related issues
which tech service cannot fix remotely. My next step is to ship the
machine back to them or return the thing altogether. Only one of the 3
USB ports work, the optical drive is terribly noisy, and the wireless
LAN card speed fluctuates and drop connections every 2-3 minutes
(extremely frustrating). I thought that by doing my homework before
making the purchase I would end up with a decent machine. No chance.
My advise to anyone looking for a decent laptop is to go with your gut.
If it has the features and capabilities you need then buy it. We have
about 40 old Toshiba laptops at my work, and they are tanks, but I
guess thay don't build them like the used to.
