Hi all

In need of some advice.

I am about to upgrade from my old Funai 32" HD TV to a bigger screen HD TV. I have decided to go either for a 37" Toshiba 37XV503DB LCD Digital TV Full 1080p HD or a 40" Sony KDL-40D3500. They are pretty equal in price, around £650 to £700. I am a bit technically challenged when it comes to TV's but have read good reports on both, that’s where the confusion comes in. I will be watching HD through SKY and am going to hook up my Blu-Ray/HD DVD PC Combo unit to it to watch films. Have already done this on my existing TV with great results.

Which of the two would you choose??

Regards
Brett

Between the two, I would choose one with better warranty, features, intuitive controls/remote design. If all things considered equal then Sony is a better buy, for $50 extra you'll get 3 inches larger screen. And you should consider the way they look on where you’re putting them too.

Choose the one with the picture you prefer. Sony's tend to be a bit "warmer" and Toshiba's a bit "cooler". Go as big as you can. Generally, people wish they'd gone bigger after the newness wears off...

Personally I will defiantly go for Sony bcoz It provide thousand of facilities which are somewhere missing in Toshiba .No hard feelings for Toshiba but quality do matters ........
