My Toshiba laptop won't recognise the keyboard. If I plugged a separate keyboard in that would work. I thought it might be a software problem because the keyboard works in the BIOS. It had a few other niggly problems too like it wouldn't connect to the internet and Bluetooth completely disappeared. I tried updating the drivers. I tried reinstalling windows, nothing has helped any of the issues. TIA

Solution
First try this...

  1. Uninstall the keyboard driver.
  2. Reboot the computer (without reinstalling the driver).
  3. When it restarts, it should reinstall the driver on its own.

If this doesn't work, then try starting it up in "Safe Mode" and see if the keyboard works in there. If it does, then you likely have something on the laptop that is the problem. Virus, malware, bad program, etc.
