Model # PSC08C-05P019, and uses an Intel Pentium Dual Core T4500 (SLGZC) at 2.3Ghz, 1M cache, 800FSB. I want to upgrade the CPU to its highest possible specs for this model of laptop. I just swapped it out and tried to replace it with an Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 at 2.8Ghz, 6M cache, 1066FSB. The computers power light and Hard drive light come on, but nothing shows on the screen, so I assume this CPU is not compatible. Does anyone know what the highest CPU is that can be used on this specific model of laptop? Any help is appreciated.

Solution
Your laptop uses a socket type p and you processor is using 35 watts so you would need to look for a cpu with the same socket type and watts.

To find all the Socket P CPUs available on Newegg simply filter on that socket type.

To find a list of all Socket P (PGA478) CPUs click the following link:

You might want to go to the Toshiba website to check what type of cpus are compatible

thats becoz Pentium Dual Core T4500 and Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 both have different Chipset family. Pentium Dual Core T4500 supported by Intel GL40 Express chipset and Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 supported by Intel GM45 Express Chipset. Chipset must be same and then BIOS also have support
