Hi,
I just did it on my Toshiba Satellite C650 with a B960, 500GB HDD and 4 Gb RAM.
It now run with i7-2760qm (50$CAN on Aliexpress), 1TB SSD (95$ on Amazon), 8GB RAM (Around 30$) with Win 10 Pro. A cable 15$ is needed to mirror the HDD on SDD and Thermal paste 10$. Watch some Youtube video and take your time. Clean the small radiator to remove years of dirt. Helps a lot. From 2.2 GhZ to 3.5 GHZ. Go back in Bios (F2) after CPU installation to enable Turbo and VT Video option.

Startup in windows: from 1min 25 sec to 22 seconds. I'm smiling
