Toshiba Satellite L855 display

Hello.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L855-S5244 laptop with a broken screen. I want to replace that screen, but I want to make sure the replacement will be compatible, so I need to know what type of connector the computer uses for the display (40-pin or other) and the location of the connector in the original display (bottom left side or other).

Does anyone know where I can find out?

Are you sure it is an S544 as I cannot find any info on that device. Not even on the Toshiba site.

That said, if you are going to replace it, then you will have to open it up, right? So then you should be able to see what kind of connector it has. Just a thought.

Yeah, that's a typo. It's actually S5244. I guess you're right, once I open it up, I'll find out. Maybe that is the only way.
