Hello! I'll try to make this concise.

I have a Toshiba Satellite C75D-B7100. I wanted to change the RAM, so I opened the back cover. Nothing appeared out of place when I closed the cover back, but something isn't right. The laptop powers on bit the screen remains black. I have been unable to locate the hardware issue.

Can anyone help with this? Thanks everyone.

Hi
Did you remove the battery before changing the RAM module(s) ?

do you have a spare screen to connect to vga out.
If display appears on external screen,
there is a key sequence to have screen display go internal / external & both screens

Press Fn key and F5 several times
F5 should have square symbols indicating screen [ ][ ].

If laptop really not starting up
remove power lead & main battery
press on button for about 15 seconds
re inset battery and try again

@C12Friedman, I did not swap the RAM out, I opened the laptop but had a last hesitation. I closed it after opening.

@mbarnes86, I indeed removed the battery! (I'm fearful of shock, haha.) I don't have a spare screen handy but that's a great idea. I'll see if the laptop projects there.

Thanks for your responses!
