Toshiba tv has sound and no picture

Toshiba 27HL85 has sound but no picture. I can see a picture if I shine a flashlight on the screen. Fine this morning, but not when I turned on this evening. Happened a few weeks ago but came back, but not this time. TV is older but I would rather repair if it isn't too expensive

U answered your own question, the backlight is broke, most likely the driving circuitry.

I hope you weren't expecting, like replace board B9, here is a picture! and the link to get one (that would be nice). ^)
