I recently had to re-install my xp home edition on my Satellite L25 S121 and have not succeeded yet. When I first purchased my laptop within a few months the mother board was replaced (under warranty) and since then we have not been able to reinstall the os. Of course we called tech support and they checked the new board that was installed and said "ah -ha" there's the problem and sent us another recovery disc............. the exact same one ........and it does the exact same thing ,Wrong machine and stops the install. Please note that I am currently running a "non genuine XP pro" os because I need something in the way of an os to use this laptop. Help!!

Sounds to me like you need to talk to the tech support people, I am not sure how anyone here on the forums can help you, except for suggesting you go buy a retail version of Windows.
