Tower on lap top

Is it possible for me to get my newly build tower to work on the monitor for my lap top? My monitor will not be in for a while.

no because the port on your laptop is outbound from the video card for use of an external monitor. your monitor on the laptop is connected to the motherboard via a ribbon cable and is set to only use that input.
