Trouble With Printer After Windows 2004 Upgrade

I have been having trouble using my Brother MFC-295CN Printer sing the Windows 2004 Upgrade. I can not Scan, Copy or Print from my PC. I have tried updating the drivers, from the brother website, purchased a new printer cable, I have been seaching online for answers, and tried all that I can think of, but can not solve the problem. When I try to Scan from the printer to the PC, I get a message from the Printer that says "Check The Connection." Any help would be appreciated.

Did you uninstall the previous drivers before updating to the most recent ones?

Yes I did, I used Brother's Uninstall Tool.
