I recently purchased ASUS ROG Zephyrus S GX701 Model # GX701GW-DB76. It has the RTX 2070. There is an HDMI port and a UBS C port that has 2 labels next to it. One label says SS with a sideways pitch fork symbol and a little 10 and a thunderbolt symbol. On the other side is has an image of a battery with the same symbol but not the thunderbolt symbol. I think this is a USB C display port. The manual says it is. I have purchased 2 adapters. One is Cable Matters USB-C to 8K Displayport adapter Thunderbolt 3 port compatible. The other is a Cable Creations with the same specs. I have tried hooking the Oculus Rift S up to it but did nothing. I tried hooking up one of my monitors to it and did nothing. I have read several posts and a Youtube video that shows it working. Will somebody please help me trouble shoot this. I'm about to give up and return the laptop.

I checked the Displayport cable to make sure it functions.
Windows is up to date.
Nvidea driver is up to date.
I factory rest the computer even though it just arrived 5 days ago.
