Right...so I'm trying to find...what it seems to be an unicorn.
Looking for a laptop with these specs:
I7 7700hq
16gb ddr4 at least 2400mhz
Gtx 1070 or 1070 max q or 1080 maxq (the point is I don't want it too bulky)
And here's the problem...a 15.6 or 17.3(preferably the 17.3)...1080p 120hz ips screen without g-sync..so the video output would switch from the gpu to the onboard graphics when not gaming or doing anything graphically intensive on it so it would give me more than a couple of hours battery.
And to be in the range of £2000-2500.
I want it this way or as similar as possible for uni(good enough to game on it but portable enough and enough juice in the battery to be able to take it to classes without having to plug it in)
If anyone finds that unicorn, please please tell me where you found it.

Take a look at this February 2018 article from theverge.com:
https://www.theverge.com/2018/2/13/17004166/origin-evo15-s-max-q-gaming-laptop-review

This is a review of an Origin EVO15-S, and it could be the machine you're looking for: An 8GB Max-Q 1070 card, a 120 Hz IPS screen - without G-Sync. The tested version was $2,136.

However:
- It's only 15.6";
- The absence of G-Sync was considered a defect rather than a benefit by the reviewers (but hey, if that's what you want);
- Battery life, while better than most other Max-Q machines, is still deplorable.
- The IPS screen didn't impress the reviewers.
- Origin is a 'boutique' brand meaning their laptops aren't readily available on, say, newegg or Amazon. Instead you go to Origin's web...
