I’m trying to hook my game system up to my insignia tv the game system only has yellow and white what should I do to get the game playing

Yellow is composite video and white is mono analog audio.
Since we don't know the model of your TV check the owners manual on how to use those connections if it has them. You can connect the white audio to either the left or right audio inputs. If you want both TV speakers to play you will need a Y splitter with 1 female RCA plug and two male RCA plugs.
It the TV only has HDMI then you will need an active AV to HDMI converter.
