Trying to make a killer audio system

Ok i am trying to build a killer audio system for future backyard college parties. I am looking for some serious bass for parties of 100+ people over about a 20 foot long backyard. I have a pair of Polk rt1000p tower speakers and while these sound nice, they will not have the bass power required. i was thinkning about getting a pair of these:

Looking for some input i would like to keep this under $400 but i do consider myself an audiophile and will pay up for better sound which is my main concern with the VA audio speakers. Let me know what you guys think any input is much appreciated.

also i am only focusing on the speakers for now, i know i will have to look into a way to power them but as for right now i am really only researching the speakers.
 
Keep your Polks for regular indoor use and get a pair of PA or DJ speakers for your parties. The volume levels you need to generate outdoors are not what the Polks were made for.
The ones in you link are typical of the type you need. I would also take at self powered speakers. Don't expect the quality of sound but you need to get the party rolling. Here are some options:

do you think i would be best off doing a full range powered pa speaker and pairing it with subwoofers?? i dont think any of these will have quite the bass im looking for.
