Hi guys, I need help figuring out what I need to connect Denon dp-300f turntable (includes a built-in phono equalizer), and a TV to a pair of Pioneer SDJ50X powered/active speakers. I can connect the turntable to speakers currently but also want to hook up the TV to these same speakers while also having a way to control volume remotely as these speakers unfortunately only have individual volume buttons on the back. I’m thinking I need a receiver of some sort but am just not sure what to get for a reasonable price.

Thanks in advance!

You don't need a receiver.
What you need is an input selector with remote volume control. You don't actually need an active preamp since you don't need any additional gain or a phono stage.

but this doesn't have remote control of the volume.
Might be cheaper to get a separate input selector and remote volume control.

Look at "integrated amps". A "receiver" generally is an integrated amp with a tuner added. If you want a tuner...look at receivers. ...but both of these have power outputs to speakers and your speakers are already powered...so you can get away with a preamplifier instead of an integrated amp if you don't want to power speakers.

Just make sure that if your built in phono equalizer doesn't have a phono pre amp, make sure that whatever you buy does have one....or your going to have to buy one separate.

Also, not sure if your
