I have a LG 49UH668V TV, which has optical audio out. I connected it with an optical cable to such a devise http://picclick.co.uk/USB-External-6CH-6-Channel-optical-digital-Audio-351788914635.html
I installed the devise drivers on a laptop, and connected my green, orange and black chinches from my creative 5.1 sound system to the device. I made my TV output sound to optical digital audio out, but no sound comes out of my sound system, though it plays sounds from laptop. What can I do to make sound from TV to go through my 5.1 creative system and is there a way (with a different item like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AMC2J1Y/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza) to not use a laptop?

Solution
First device your link to is to provide an 5.1 analog or optical digital output for you laptop. It's an external soundcard. The optical connection is an output not an input. Can't work on a TV (no USB drivers).
The Second device is the correct one to use with a TV.

Thank you for your quick answer. The device I use now has an optical input and output. I plugged my optic cabel from TV into the input of the device. And because TV cannot get the drivers for the device I use laptop and hope to use the device as digital analog convertor, as the other one. Visually the 2 devices look similar with same input/outputs. Just the second one works without using drivers and has an own power charge. ANyway, the first one was recommended to me by LG support, and I took it without thinkin. Thanks again
