TV screen is blue--no snow--no channels

What is wrong with my TV. It will play a DVD but will not receive channels. The screen is blue. No snow. It used to work on cable, then it worked with a converter box. Now blue screen.

What did you do or change? Or did it just suddenly had no signal anymore?

That tv is in a room I don't use all the time , so I don't know exactly when it went out. We get frequent power outages. --also a grandson did plug in a "cheap" video game--but I'm not sure that was the cause. I've already changed the converter box and bought a new universal remote. I'm afraid I'm throwing good money after bad. I don't want to junk that set because the DVD and VHS work so well. Someone said 'blue screen?? hmmm tuner" What do you think?

Are you sure that you are on the right input? Your grandson may have connected his game to the DVD input and left it there so you get DVD. Check that the converter box is powered up. If the converter box is connected with a single coax cable then try tuning to channel 3 or 4.
