TV Sides cut off

Hello, I am asking for some help because my Phillips Wide Screen/Box TV is currently cut off on the left and right sides. While watching tv, it is not that big of an issue, but in a video game, it hinders gameplay a lot. Many features of the game that I need to see are cut off on the left and right side.

Any way I can fix this?

P.S. While watching TV, everything has a green tint to it. I think I enabled some kind of filter while trying to fix the cut offs. Any help towards this as well?

What resolution is the TV. What resolution is your video set for?

My TVs resolution ie 1080i 16:9. My TV type is 16:9

It's hooked up to a Xbox one not a PC.

HDMI output often have troubles with correct picture scaling. Try to find scaling options in TV menu. I'd happily tell you how to find that option in more details, but, unfortunately, you haven't mentioned your TV's model. OR try adjusting Aspect ratio options on each device.
