Tv turns off

So i have a 55 inch lg and when the tv is on the screen starts turning black then goes to a black screen you can still hear the volume..

See if you can find a main board for it on sale at eBay. You'll need a model number. It may give you an idea how expensive parts are for it and what parts are available.

Depending on how old it is, a warranty on it may still be good. It also may be less expensive just replacing it.
