My tv has dts audio support, but the home theatre that I bought doesn't support dts. Will the home theatre system still play the audio of the movie I am watching?

Solution
All broadcast and cable TV is Dolby.
If you play a disc select the Dolby Digital soundtrack not the DTS.
Set the audio of any streamer or app to Dolby.
For a manufacturer to support each audio codec they have to have the correct hardware but they also have to pay for a license to use the software and a fee for each unit they sell so many makers limit the audio that is supported. Sometimes they have a non standard way of processing the audio to avoid paying for the legit way.
