Yesterday rumors did the rounds about Twitter charging companies who use the service for commercial purposes. While Twitter currently doesn’t charge businesses for tweeting, a report in Marketing magazine hinted that the company was thinking about it.
I think they should not allow advertisements on the same stream as they do news. It cluters things up and ruins the value of twitter as a resource. If people want advertisements, maybe they can make a TwitterAd stream, there are tons of people looking for great bargains, and I am sure that stream would be as successful as twitter prime. Those companies who continue to put ads where news should go should be banned or something.
I'm actually an avid twitter user and A Stoner has probably been commenting on Tom's Guide longer than I have. I used to work for .co.uk before I worked on .com and TG. Fairly sure we've had some disagreements along the way too! Nice lad though.
