So i have a set of Logitech z5500's still running strong and i need to see if there is a way to setup my computer and my Xboxone through them and have them both outputting audio at the same time. I have an optical audio cable for the xbox one. For example i want to play Pandora radio over my PC and play a game on Xboxone (since you cant have pandora play in the background of the xbone yet). The screen ill be using has no speakers it is a Benq XL 2720Z. And the Computer ill be using is a Laptop with normal audio and mic ports. Or possibly a PC with a Asus Maximus VII hero. I just havent decided if im investing in that desktop yet.

thanks for your time, hope to hear some solutions :D

the trouble is "using both at once". the z5500 likely only can use the 3.5mm or the optical at once so would likely give you an either or choice.

you could force it if you used analog - and combined the 3.5mm cables with splitters used in the reverse direction to do what you want although this would involve investing in a hdmi audio extractor for the xbo to get a 5.1 signal from the hdmi out stream. if you used a laptop with only stereo out you might need a soundcard for it.

not sure i've ever seen a device which can take one optical and one analog signal and merge them into one or even two optical signals and do the same. i know it can be done analog though.
