Upgrade a 233 gig 5400 rpm to 7200 rpm 500-1T for my laptop?

I am looking to upgrade my Toshiba Satellite C655 from a 233 gig 5400 rpm to a 7200 rpm 500 to 1terra , is this possible and will it improve overall performance? also are there any limitations created by the motherboard?

A tiny, tiny bit...yes. But only where disk access is involved. If your CPU is the Celeron, that is probably more likely what is making you feel like the system is slow.
But, as long as you are thinking of changing the HDD, why not move to a SSD? That will make any disk access way faster than a HDD.
