So, I'm running a g3268 (OC'd 4.0 GHz) and a gtx 960. IF I have the money, I would like to upgrade my PC to run VR. I've tested my rig with the SteamVR Performance test and it recommended me to upgrade. I've read some sources saying that the 3258 won't cut it, and the 960 not giving an enjoyable experience. Should I swap my Pentium for an i5 or get a 1060/rx 480 first? Thanks!

For VR you going to need both, I would say upgrade your CPU first, while this won't help really with games your planing now but prices for Rx 480 and 1060 are still a bit all over the place because of availability. That way in a good month or so you you could probably find them at MSRP or cheaper. However if you want better gaming now then I would say go wit the 480/1060.
