Upgrade My Android version

I want to upgrade my Samsung J1 2016 to the latest android. So how can i do that must i buy it or what ? Please help

You can't 'upgrade' unless there is an update listed in the phones 'settings'. If there isn't anything there, then the manufacturer does not support adding the newer versions to that device.
