Hi, I just bought a Samsung NP-R580E (Win7 x84, i5 430, GeForce 330M, 4GB RAM)
, and I would like to upgrade to a 64-bit OS to take advantage of my 4GB of RAM. My only concern is that some part of the hardware won't work with 64-bit (mobo/touchpad drivers/network drivers). does anyone have experience with upgrading samsung laptop OSes?

An awful lot of questions on the forum regard missing drivers for 64 bit versions of the OS -- Win7 is still new -- I'd, at least, leave it for a bit.

I've not had any issues with any of the x64 builds for home (laptop, desktop, 2 HTPCs) with various hardware configs.

I really have no complaints or issues getting all of my items to be recognized. The major caveat I have found are older printers...sometimes they show up as "other devices" that you have to manually configure.

I really don't feel like Win7 is all that new - it's been in full release for 9 months or so and was in beta for a long time before that. I'd feel safe going to it (obviously - I have pretty full force)
